Hi...
Well, my sister and I will have a week of vacation from school in February, as always. So my dad and my sister and I will go to L.A. for a week! Yay!!! My dad got around to booking our flight a couple of weeks ago.
The farthest west I've ever been in the U.S. is probably Las Vegas, so I've never been to California before. I'm excited for it =)
Except the day I finally get my braces off is a week after our trip! nooo I'll have to be ugly in the L.A. pictures =[
Anyway, we still have a few months, but we're looking for ideas and things to do in L.A. So far, I only know that we'll be going to UCLA and Disneyland and stuff...
So if any of you have some suggestions or ideas for fun stuff to do in L.A., please let me know!

I saw Toy Story & Toy Story 2 yesterday! In 3D ^^
I'd been meaning to watch them again for over a year, but now I could see them in theatres (and finally have a reason to get around to doing it).
I hadn't seen Toy Story or Toy Story 2 in years... I didn't know I like Toy Story so much! I always considered my Pixar favorites to be Monsters, Inc., The Incredibles, and Wall-E. I really like Finding Nemo too. But Toy Story is GREAT! So funny XD
I had a lot of fun =)
I even brought my Woody doll ^____^
The characters are awesome! (btw, I think I might ship Buzz & Jessie xD)
I'm excited for Toy Story 3 next year! (and Alice in Wonderland for next year too!!)
But Toy Story really is great. Go watch it! ^_^
The bad news is, I have my first PSAT class today :[ From 10 until 3:30 T_T
Tomorrow I have a "confirmation retreat". I'm busy this weekend D:
It's raining, which I don't mind, but I hope it won't be too cold.

Hi!
I feel like I've disappeared from LJ this summer -__-
Well, I've been back home from Germany since Wednesday night. But I'm so busy! I haven't even had time to unpack :(
My cousin Steffi and her friend Marina are visiting! They arrived on Wednesday too, and will be leaving on September 1. My school starts on September 2! We've been going places everyday and seeing things.
This morning Steffi and Marina went to New York, where they'll be until Thursday evening. But I'm still extremely busy because I've started to clean my room for once, and it is a nightmare! It looks fairly neat (or it did until I started sorting through everything, now the floor is covered with all my junk), but I've never really sorted through my room. There is so much junk D:
Steffi started helping me, but now I'm on my own T_T
So I'm still extremely busy, and most likely will be for a while.
I hope everyone had a nice summer! =)

Hi,
I haven't been online at all... I'll write about my summer when I get home, I guess.
I was just wondering what kind of foreign language options you have at school? Or if you're out of school, what you had (if you remember). I guess you could just cover high school and perhaps explain why you chose the language.

I'm leaving tonight! Boston to Frankfurt. I won't be back home until August 19.
I'm staying with my uncle and family and people. My sister and I are going to Germany today, and my mom will come at the very end of July. I know I've barely been on LJ, but I will have much less time now to go online. Sorry ^^;;
I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! =)

I've been keeping a list of every new movie I've seen and every book (excluding manga) I read since 2009 began. Since about half of the year is over, I'll post what I have so far.
( Movies )
The worst of these was The House Bunny by far. The scariest was Jurassic Park. The funniest was William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

This morning I had my last final exam. For Physics T_T. I didn't really study, which certainly wasn't a good idea because I struggle the most with Physics. It was hard, and I guessed the answers a lot of the time.
So after a short day of school (if an hour and a half even counts as a day lol), during which I took Physics, I walked home and practiced the piano and vacuumed and felt quite accomplished actually :P.
It's rained for about a week now (except on Wednesday and Saturday), which I don't mind, but I wish it would at least be a little sunny.
My sister went to Six Flags today with her grade so I'm sure it wasn't all that fun with this kind of weather. She has her graduation from eighth grade tomorrow.
I don't have school anymore though! Yay Summer!!! Ok, the official last day is tomorrow, but I don't have to show up or anything. So I get to sleep in :).
I'll turn 16 tomorrow! Ah I'm getting so old.

Oh my.
This morning, my mom mentioned to my sister and I that we may be able to go to Vienna or Berlin this summer for just a couple of days. She asked which one we'd prefer.
The German name for Vienna is Wien, so first my sister asks, "Wait, is that Vienna?". Yes. "So are we going to Rome?" FML
My sister doesn't know what/where Vienna is...
I'd love to go to both cities, of course, and I haven't yet had the chance to visit either. I chose Vienna though. To me it seems that in the future it will be much easier for me to get to Berlin anyway, and the music and history of Vienna interests me. I also have Maria Antonia in mind. I still would love to go to Berlin... But in this case I choose Vienna.
I had my piano recital today. I've been practicing very much, but I still mess up a little and my fingers can get jumbled up. Though I dread recitals and get very nervous, they usually turn out ok.
But not this time. I messed up countless times. I was very disappointed and sad. I feel awful.

I feel like playing The Sims!!!
A long time ago, I got a special edition of the first Sims game (includes Livin' Large), and Unleashed, House Party, and Makin' Magic. I used to play a lot! ^^
Years ago I also got the DVD edition thing of the Sims 2 for Christmas.
The thing is, I only ever installed the Sims 2 on an old laptop, and it wasn't very fun.
I used to have a best friend who was very into the Sims, and so I had watched her playing the regular Sims with all the expansion packs and the Sims 2. Though that was a long time ago (and since we haven't been friends anymore for the last two years), I'm still fairly familiar [with the Sims 2]. But I didn't like playing on my own (not that I really tried =/). I just wasn't used to everything :/.
Even though I was often excited about playing the Sims 2, I've only tried it on my own once. Two major technical problems are that it's such a huge game, and the loading times are very long. So though there have been times over the years when I kept my Sims 2 box with me and looked through it a lot, I've never played on my own before. I would have liked to though. I have to play it some day, or else it would have just been another expensive waste :(.
If I were to go play the Sims right now, which I plan to once final exams are over, I'd head down to my basement where the older computer is. That's where all my Sims games, except for the Sims 2, are installed (unless my dad ever decided to un-install them T_T). I don't have Hot Date, Superstar, or Vacation though =[.
And now the Sims 3 is already out!
Last summer, I got a Nintendo DS Lite =). I also got Mario Party DS, which I've played frequently at times. I used to play quite often a couple of months ago. For Christmas, I got Animal Crossing: Wild World. It wasn't as fun as it sounds =[. I was very disappointed, as I wasn't sure what to do in the game, and it was all rather boring. I considered selling it, but I'm giving it another chance...
This Wednesday, I noticed Melissa playing a game at Anime Club. I didn't even know she had a DS! Well, the game looked very cute and enjoyable, and I really, really wanted to buy one. It's... Princess Debut! I'm going to wait until after finals though (that's also when my birthday is).
I have a piano recital tomorrow, and I'm kind of terrified. I'm nervous that I'm not prepared, and that I'll play badly. Even if I mess up, I'm afraid I won't be able to cover it up.
Final exams start next Wednesday. Even though we're actually doing review in my classes this year, I still have to study a whole lot. I've realized how much I've forgotten, and how unprepared I am. I'm very concerned about Geometry and Physics, as well as Spanish. I have so much work to do! I'm not very good at studying either :[.

I just finished watching an episode (#2410?) of Frontline on PBS. The Tank Man.
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/t
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/t
Oh my god.
Towards the beginning, with all the people in Tiananmen Square, I almost felt like crying. Like when I see videos of the Berlin Wall coming down and such.
But many events that took place there were absolutely appalling.
I also find it very scary and unfortunate that, when asked and presented with photos, four Beijing University students had never seen a picture of the man blocking the tanks. One of the guys had said "'89", but they still had no idea what to make of it.
I am disgusted with Cisco's, Google's, Microsoft's, and especially Yahoo's decisions.
I value honesty a lot. It is incredibly important to me.
It's a sad situation, and though censorship can be good, too much of it terrifies me.
(It kind of reminds me of 1984, actually.)
It's alarming enough, but putting China's huge population into consideration is all the more upsetting.

I detest it.
Denglisch ist bescheuert.
Unnecessary borrowing and substituting is overwhelming and annoying, and the confusion that mixes in is of course pointless and frustrating as well. The results can be so utterly ridiculous. It's sickening.
I have always found it very upsetting. That's why I can prefer to be in the U.S., because it's not much of an issue here at all. I don't have to worry here; it's not constantly showing up in my mind. I am at ease. Of course, this is the "center". We're not obsessed with ourselves in the same way. After all, we are on the inside.

I have a headache again. =[
I'm going to try to get more sleep, since I've been going to bed a lot later this week. I often struggle with falling asleep, too. My brain thinks too much, especially when I want it to quiet down. Fortunately, I usually don't worry about schoolwork or stress out about other stuff when I'm trying to fall asleep. Still, it can be frustrating, especially when I'm very tired.
( T-Shirt )
Melissa gave me a ride home twice this week from Anime Club, which was very nice of her =). That's when I first heard "Again", which is the opening song for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I've read one volume of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga, and didn't like it much. But I'll try again when I can get to it. I've never seen any of the original Fullmetal Alchemist anime, but I watched the first episode of the new one on Monday. I think I could like it...
Go listen to "Again" over here (ignore the video) ^^
Ok, I should probably go study for my Physics test on waves and my Math quiz for tomorrow. I know I'm going to fail the Math quiz T_T. We've done trigonometry stuff, with sine and cosine and tangent. None of it has gotten through to my brain >_<.
I should practice the piano again, too.
Ah fuck my life.
I should stop wasting my time online so often.
